We stopped at Feather Follies in Lafayette to pick up birdfood. Now that Kai is way too mobile, I have to make sure he doesn't run about and stick his fingers in the bird cages, especially with the big hyacinth macaw here. They look comical, sorta fake, but they will just love to bite something off of you. And it looks like they are eyeing my camera...or Kai. Can you believe these birds are worth about 8-10 grand?! They are worth more than my old 1995 blue Miata, which I purchased for 5 grand (my beloved car now sold because of Kai, I can't have both of my loves together...)
