Gravitron Personalized for Kai at the Museum
December 27, 2007
At the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago, I came upon this toymaker exhibit. Now I know how Santa runs his operation!
You pay a machine $5 and it spits out a ticket (with Ocean Kai's name on it) and gives you the numbered gravitron to follow on the production line. So I followed #66 orange...
...and watched it go through testing...
... and finally to be packaged. I entered my ticket stub in the ticket reader, and the yellow mechanical arm grabbed #66 gravitron and dispensed it.
On the toy itself is engraved Ocean Kai, date made, and where. Pretty cool, I must say! This is my souvenir toy for Kai (since he is staying with his cousins- I dare not drag him out to Chicago in this cold weather! brrrrrrr!!!)
