Our sprint to the State Capitol- Sacramento- for work, and then the ZOO!
April 4, 2008 Thursday
Kai is either overwhelmed (or in awe) with all the government-literature filed here.
As a last minute decision, Kai and I took off to the Legislative Bill Room in Sacramento so that I could purchase the very last manual they had in stock. There in a big box was the Workers Compensation Official Medical Fee Schedule waiting for me- all 533 pages of it-AARGH! There goes my weekend having to read all this boring material...
Kai peeks in on other passer-bys.
So to make our 1.25 hour trip worthwhile, I took Kai to the Sacramento Zoo. And yes, it not only benefited him but it did me some good too, as I have been too focused on the physical therapy business.
Another train ride to Kai's long list of train rides taken.
OOOOH!!! The reptile house!
Kai thought these flamingos had "owchies" having seen how there legs bend the opposite of ours.
The temporary penguin display.
Kai shows me how long his tongue is after seeing the giraffe's try to get leaves off the branches through a fence.
Men At Work!
Kai wanted to fit in with this group and decided to position himself for this class photo.
See not all butterflies are scary looking up close!
And at the end of our Zoo event, Kai got to pick and pay for his own lollipop!
The positive thing about our visit to the zoo, is that I was able to apply Kai's zoophonics lessons here. He is starting to relate the animals with the alphabet and in the last class he was learning to spell his name! The teacher was quite pleased with him. I as well was very surprised and overall impressed!
