20-mile cycle, just another day on the wheels.
We did our usual route cycling along the Richmond marina and then headed inland from Albany to Berkeley REI and purchased some goodies along with Kai's new Italia bicycle cap. It added extra sun shade/protection.
Going through the Berkeley hood.
We stop at the Berkeley Aquatic Park and let Kai loose to play.
And then Kai had to go "pee-pee toilet" as he would say, and before we knew it he whipped his pants down in the middle of the park to try to pee. A mother was laughing from a distance having seen this- while I told Kai to go pee at the tree nearby. (That's what guys do, right?) So Kai stumbles along to the tree with his pants at his ankles and penis hanging out. Oh boy.
We continued around the lake where the Berkeley Row Club and Water ski club train.
And then detour to the Berkeley marina to see the big kites...
...like Ollie Octopus here, (Kai calls it that as learned from Zoophonics class). This massive kite was anchored by 2 stakes and 2 separate kite lines.
Other kites for show.
As we head back, Kai gets another urge to "pee-pee toilet" and walks off to the fence and whips his pants down. He goes again successfully and piddles on his pants a bit even though I faced him downwind (like what guys would do, right? I hope.)
Then he runs off to the water and starts throwing rocks. Today I taught him how to throw rocks under-handed, as he was able to plunk them into the water from 12-feet away. He is getting good at throwing far!
Finally, back to the car 5-hours later and another 20- miles under our belt.
