Cycle Tiburon
April 5, 2006 Tiburon, CA
Another beautiful day inspired us to go out cycling in Tiburon. Greg tests out the recumbent bike with Kai and Lukas in the back, to insure that I had hooked up everything properly.
Initially Ute was to ride the tandem bicycle with me, however we both ended up wiping out in the middle of the parking lot for a start. I remember looking up at the sky on my back and a cyclist was laughing at us. A woman came along and helped us up. Poor Ute had scraped her knee and ripped her pants in the fall. After some bacitracin and a band-aid (no I did not kiss her boo-boo) we took off on the trail.
How'd ya' know we be twins?
The boys started to bicker and scream and I could hear Ute scolding them. And the bickering continued so I had given them lollipops to keep em quiet. Do you like their ugly teeth?
Kai hangs out.
We reach the marina where the ferry boat docks, spread out a picnic blanket, had some lunch and let the boys play on the rocks.
That's Angel Island on the left and San Francisco in the far distance.
Kai and Lukas try to retrieve coins then only to throw them back. And of course they get soaked in the process.
Video: Kai's awesome feat!
At the pasture, by the parking lot, we came across this metal horse standing all alone. So we had the boys pose on it.
Kai put me in a choke hold at this moment.
And then I later find that this horse "Blackie" had lived for 30 years, and had died in 1966! Wow- this horse did better than me in his 30 years- by golly, he had a statue made of him!
So to end our cycling adventure we hit the lemonade stand for refreshments.
