Day 3 Pismo- Kai's swollen face!
When Kai awoke, I was relieved that his face looked better from all those mosquito bites. But when he turned his head to look at me- this is what I saw. It was like a combination of Dr. Jekyl and Mr. Hyde there! And I freaked about it a little bit. I know that Lukas had also wacked him with a big stick across the face which made Kai cry hard, and I hoped this wasn't in combination of a reaction to a mosquito bite. I could see a future black eye...
My poor baby! He not only looks like he has a swollen eye but his forehead looks like a Cling-On's (per Greg) from the bites!
Campsite 61.
Greg refuses to leave bed, so I give him some fresh air.
Ah-ha! Marla triesto hide her morning face!
Back at the campsite, Lukas pumps water into Kai's mouth (you know, like the water torture method).

Kai is fascinated by this plane and keeps pointing to the sky.

We go on a morning walk along the lagoon, and Kai chases after the geese,
climbs trees with Brennan,
Brennan is ticklish here while Kai looks a bit concerned that he may fall off.

We pack up and drive on the beach to continue the fun (where I thought we would get stuck).

While Greg and Rolf hang out by the vehicles on the beach, the rest of us walk towards downtown Pismo.

Kai walks Toby for a minute before he gets bored and gives me the leash.

Ute and Lukas turn back while Kai and I continue our journey to downtown. I jog the rest of the way.

Kai and I make our fish- n- chips lunch order at the bar.
The kiteboard expo of merchandise for sale.
Greg greets us on our return from our 4 mile beach run/walk with the off-trail stroller. I want to puke now from running hard!
Look what I picked up on the way back! I'm a Kiteboard Widow!
The winds were not strong enough to take Greg out to do tricks in the water today- so Greg settled for a little landkiting instead.
Kai is learning daddy's moves! Watch out for the next kiteboard athlete!
The owner of Eclipse Kiteboarding videos Greg for some fun footage.
This guy gets dragged by Greg's kite when he grabs hold of his bar. Of course, that was just for the video- they both know how to kitesurf.
Greg makes it briefly out to the water and quickly comes in- winds are still not so strong!
Kai huddles from the wind having just awakened from his nap. And then he hops on the landboard with daddy...
We pack up Kai (he's somewhere back there! It's like trying to find Waldo!)
