Weird Art on Albany Beach.

We are at a small section of the 8.5 miles of the Eastshore State Park where the Albany Bulb is part dog park, part landfill, and part of the Berkeley art collective called SNIFF. Here exists an interesting mix of natural elements and refuse that had been either dragged in by hand or had drifted in from the waters.

Situated next door to Golden Gate Fields race track, we come upon several photographic opportunities. I had been here a few times already, and each visit brings about unique surprises around every bend on the trail.

Kai and Lukas find an underground pipe to play with.

A pagoda-like temple, a trail-marker, or a symbol mimicking the San Francisco TransAmerica building in the background?

The first thought was perhaps an airplane crashed here? But I don't see the black box!

The true version of a mouse (trap), trap a mouse, or entrap a person to a computer...

...it also works in trapping kids!

The boys hang out in this artsy dump of a place.

A sewer tank? A swimming pool? A skate park? A watering hole? What gives?

Albert Einstein is here too!

An auto and bicycle graveyard?

A UFO crashed here?

Mona Lisa is sat upon!

It appears this creature came out from the depths of her watery grave?

And Ute wants to be picked up! Hmmm she's either tired of walking or maybe she's worshipping her?

Kai is not thrilled by all these weird sculpture. It took some convincing that these were adult toys!

Man Taking a Dump (should be the title here).

Fishing on dry land.

Don Quixote without the horse and windmill though.

Man riding a dog?

Mural. Perhaps the real face behind Emerald City in Wizard of Oz?

I was amazed that someone crawled into this stink hole to paint the back of this sewer thingy.

San Francisco on the horizon.

Under protective arms...

The boys don't appear to be secure here.

Wire and metal.

Piece of art- the motorcycle gas tank from a Honda.
We then hung out at Albany Beach for the rest of the beautiful, although windy, day.

That's the Golden Gate Field race tracks, Kai and Lukas run along.
Someone had fun taunting them with this remote vehicle.

The boys rest and eat goodies under some shade...Lukas was a bit upset that I had removed his poopy diaper and washed his butt in the waves (momma Ute left me without wipes!)
But overall Kai, Lukas and doggie Toby did well without Ute and Ute's sister Doris (they went shopping) and while I enjoyed playing hooky at the beach. Toby had the joy of running after a greyhound! You can guess who won there!
