Looking Straight into the Morning Sun
September 6, 2007 Thursday
(7A.m.) I awake to this view outside my bedroom window, which causes me to jump out of bed in amazement! Kai is just as excited as I am- as he notices the big ball in the sky. He likes balls and shows his enthusiasm for it by pointing at it.
Hmmm, maybe it's possible to look dead-on to the sun due to the haziness in the sky- elements in the air? Perhaps it's due to the 1,200 firefighters trying to contain an out-of-control fire that has burned at least 5,200 acres in the San Jose region near the this Henry Coe State Park, east of Morgan Hill.
I suddenly imagined a comet heading towards me, getting bigger as it closed in, travelling at 500 mph, only to crash into my backyard. I suddenly feel vulnerable and very small. I get worried- what would I do? There would be no where to run!
I shake my head- I have been watching too many History Channel shows.
So tell me- what would you do?
