The Chinese Mann Theatre in Chicago area.
After the Odyssey arcade, we stopped off at my mother's house, which I spent many childhood years, and had a Mexican dinner. My brother Fredi called and wanted to take Mom and I out to the Hollywood Blvd. Theatre to see The Kingdom starring Jamie Fox and Jennifer Garner.
So Cheri babysat while Mom drove like a maniac to get us there on time. But despite her driving at 60 mph in a 40mph residential zone, Murphy interfered- trucks got in our way, and we had to stop for a train. With 5 minutes to spare, we made it to a copycat version of the Chinese Mann Theater as seen in Hollywood, CA.
Mom has this weakness for passive, short men. Haha.
Fredi just about lost his head with this fella as we were almost late.
The great thing about this theater is its decor AND you can eat a meal and have alcoholic beverages in these comfortable executive leather chairs. I fell for the The Brown Witch- a Kahlua sundae.

The movie, I thought was a bit disturbing, as it reminded me of my military days in that region and the discomfort of being a woman in a Muslim country. I got a lot of angry nods for not covering up well. Fredi, on the other hand, was interested in seeing it as he had stayed in one of those compounds seen in the movie while on a business trip to Saudi Arabia.
The Blues Brother suit with the Kill Bill sword on display.
Correction by Fredi: that suit isn't the Blues Brothers suit, it is the suit of Mr.
Blonde, played by Michael Madsen, worn in "Reservoir Dogs." And the
sword is from "Kill Bill Vol. 2", belonging to the character of Budd
also played by Michael Madsen.
Inscription- "The only man I ever loved- Bill"
Sign behind us- City Morgue, Body drop-off, no parking.
Yes, the "Weird" virus runs through our family veins. If it's not for Cheri swimming in pitballs...it's Fredi posed for dead. And it was amazing to see people just walk by without their knowing someone was laying limp on the floor. A woman almost stepped on him.

Did you know you can actually purchase souvenirs at the actual Los Angeles County Coroners Office? It may be a little freaky to visit it though.
Here's the link for souvenirs- http://lacstores.co.la.ca.us/coroner/
Like I said I admired the decor... And Fredi decides to take a restful break.
I decided not to use the restroom...
Our classic, Alfred Hitchcock.
Mom poses with the Blues Brothers. Hey watch that hand Mom!
We bid farewell to Fredi as he drives off in his "classified" stealthy vehicle...
