Kai's 2-year old Bday Party at the Lakeridge Athletic Club

Wednesday March 5, 2008
Can you believe that this is Kai's 3rd birthday cake/celebration? We had his party 6 days after his actual birthday so that his cousins Cohen and Hope (from Chicago) could celebrate with him. It was a pleasant surprise that my sister came up with this idea to fly out so Kai could be with family.

Hope patiently sits there waiting to chow. And she's wearing the leopard outfit we got her for Xmas! How cute!
Since Cheri was only available weekdays (her weekends are spent at work), we held Kai's luncheon party where I work at the Lakeridge Athletic Club on Wednesday.

Kai's mouth is just stuffed! I guess he really wants to get to dessert right away! Which by the way, I baked the cupcakes the night before and Cheri decorated it. I got the idea off the back of a cake box!

Hope and Kai's daycare buddy Logan. Hope tries her first meal of cheese macaroni.
We served dinosaur cheese macaroni and meatballs. Followed by the tower of Elmo birthday cupcakes.

Twin buddy Lukas and Kai each get a tower of Elmo cupcakes.

Video: Another birthday song and cake too!

Happy birthday Kai! We love you!
Hope gets her first try at birthday cake!

Having tasted the good stuff, she screams at Mommy for not feeding her cake fast enough. Look at that surprised look on Cheri's face!
Kai opens the gift from nana. And is thrilled with the Thomas Train computer. (He takes it to bed with him every night to hear the choo-choo sound).
While the boys check out this gadget, Hope is checking out the wheels on this car.

Yeah! More Dr. Seuss books to go along with Horton, the elephant stuffed animal.
Elmo party-favors from Kai.
Hope and her mama snuggle.
Kai breaks the ice by showing everyone his belly button. For some reason he just loves to play with his naval while socializing.
