The AWESOME Maker Faire
May 3, 2008 Saturday in San Mateo, CA
While I was out in Salt Lake City, Kai and Greg daddy took off to San Mateo to see the Maker Faire.
I really wish I could have been there as I love stuff like this. (remember I am an electronic geek)
Marla, Joel and Kai pose before this enormous sculpture reaching for a bird.
Man-powered vehicle. They are cycling like gerbils running on a wheel.
Giant spider.
Power-tool vehicle. (Has a little blood on the blade there!)
2-man cycle. Each one controls a wheel. I am guessing if one doesn't do the job you go in circles.
An eccentric bike attempted to be ridden by an eccentric guy (Joel).
Greg sits on a recumbent bike made of driftwood.
Kai freaks out with this Hewlett Packard Panda bear. Check out it's eyes!
I wouldn't stand between those two towers, would you?
Kai picks flowers with this Blondie on his break.
A possible futuristic vehicle? A camper shell converted into a roomy, living quarter. Greg thought this vehicle had more space than the Eurovan.
Electonic dinosaur that lost a huge bolt on its journey.
Kai takes a snooze in the van while Greg works on his bicycle in the garage.
