The High Life at the Four Seasons Resort(San Diego Area)
September 7,2007 Friday
Kai scared me for a minute when I couldn't find him in the airport. I had just taken my eye off of him for a second- and whoosh! he was gone. Here he was found between the airport seats...
Model of the Four Seasons Resort, where we stayed.
We flew in to San Diego and drove to Carlsbad to meet Kai's grandparents at the Four Seasons Resort. They were staying there for a week having flown in from Ottawa, Canada.
Porsche, BMW. Mercedes, Lexus, Rolls Royce...all present at the valet parking.
Greg and I laughed, as we wondered if our rented Toyota Corolla would be allowed on their grounds. There were at least 3 valet people, 2 doormen, and several employees present to make your stay pleasant- and that was just at the entrance!
A model of the timeshare, which we stayed. This place had 2 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a kitchen, a kitchenette, livingroom and dining area. You could actually live here!
Backyard view of the timeshares.
We walked in to these magnificent quarters and were greeted by my in-laws, who were a bit jet-lagged from the long flight and by the 3-hour time difference.
Kai quickly began to make himself at home. He was going through a touch-and-feel mode.
Even the toilet tissue had the Four Seasons emblem on it, as it did on the terry-cloth robes supplied us.
Kai slept in his first "metal" crib. A full crib was great, but the metal? Is this an antique or what? I had never seen one before.
The following day we went for a nice walk on the grounds and ventured through the main reception area.
